Amanda Lopez speaks to Indiana Head Start Leaders

At this year’s Indiana Head Start Association Leadership Retreat, Amanda Lopez, President of Transform Consulting Group (TCG), led a powerful session with Indiana Head Start grantees on “How to Use Data to Tell Your Story.” Focused on helping leaders more effectively communicate their Head Start program’s value, Amanda walked attendees through TCG’s 6-step storytelling approach to frame compelling, data-informed narratives that resonate with funders, policymakers, and community stakeholders.510242844 1287521333379225 2442509052635984812 n

Amanda’s presentation was timely since Head Start organizations have been uncertain about their funding with the potential budget cuts, federal staffing changes, and leadership shifts. Through times of uncertainty like this, we’ve found that clarity comes from one powerful source: data. The ability to clearly articulate your organization’s impact is more important than ever.

Beginning with how to frame your story, Amanda emphasized the importance of aligning data with mission, audience, and messaging goals. She then explored techniques for sharing

your story across platforms and materials, highlighting practical tools and real-world examples.

Head Start programs, like many nonprofit organizations, have compelling stories to share. However, nonprofits are swimming in data and often feel overwhelmed with how to decipher which data story to share that will resonate most with the audience they want to reach.

“A well-framed story backed by clear, relevant data not only communicates impact — it inspires action,” Amanda shared.

TCG is proud to partner with mission-driven organizations like Head Start to turn data into a powerful communications asset. We look forward to continuing to support Indiana’s early childhood leaders in amplifying the stories that matter most.

Ready to strengthen your team’s storytelling? You too can bring Amanda Lopez or the TCG team to your next event or retreat for an energizing, practical, hands-on training session that delivers immediate value. Learn more here
