Ivy Tech Community College has long positioned itself as a leader in postsecondary education, while simultaneously addressing and responding to pressing community needs. With funding from the Lilly Endowment, Ivy Tech is in the midst of work aimed to strengthen Indiana’s early childhood workforce.
Transform Consulting Group (TCG) is excited to partner with the Ivy Tech Madison Campus as they strive to address local child care and workforce needs while building a stronger pipeline of qualified early learning professionals.
Ivy Tech Madison hired TCG to help them better understand the early childhood needs in Jefferson and Switzerland Counties, create an early childhood strategic plan for the county, and establish an early childhood education coalition to move this work forward.
We recently facilitated a launch meeting of the coalition, which brings together leaders from across sectors including early childhood providers, K–12 and higher education, local government, healthcare, business, and community organizations to collaborate, align resources, and build a shared strategy to strengthen early care and education in the region.
TCG has worked with over 40 communities across the nation to help them understand and address their child care needs.
